As a recent graduate with a degree in computer science, I was looking for a meaningful way to start my career and make my way in the world. I was thrilled to start my first job at Ambee, a cutting-edge climate tech company. My story began as an HR intern, which quickly turned into a bigger role where I now get to work in the inside sales department as well as HR– juggling multiple responsibilities.

Ambee's mission to tackle environmental challenges through innovative technology is what drew me to the company in the first place.

But working here, I’ve seen how those are more than just words. Our company's focus on using data-driven solutions to address climate issues aligns with my passion for leveraging technology for positive change. Being part of a team that is tirelessly working towards a more sustainable future is truly motivating and gives my work at Ambee a sense of purpose.

One of the unique aspects of working at Ambee is the opportunity to take on multiple roles.

I started off as an HR intern, and before I knew it, I grew into my skills and responsibilities and started working in inside sales. This has allowed me to develop a diverse skill set and gain experience in different areas of the company. From managing employee relations and conducting interviews to booking meetings with a potential client–I’ve learned how to manage people both internally and externally. My role at Ambee has truly been dynamic and challenging, pushing me to learn and grow constantly.

Ambee's collaborative culture is also worth mentioning, as it has been instrumental in my growth and success at the company. The cross-functional nature of my role has provided me with opportunities to work closely with different teams, including sales, marketing, tech, and the founders.

Collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise has not only enhanced my skills but also fostered innovation and creativity.

So far, It's been really rewarding to contribute my ideas and perspectives to the team and see the positive impact of our collaborative efforts. I think as a result of this environment, there are some lessons that I’m sure will help me in my future, both personally and as a professional.
